With this transformation, customers get the best of both worlds when it comes to dining at these gems as there is outdoor seating available year-round if you aren’t comfortable with dining inside quite yet. Here is my list of the top places that have the best outdoor dining that you can enjoy during any season:
The Winchester
Even before the pandemic, The Winchester had an amazing outdoor patio that’s covered allowing a great breeze to flow through and into the restaurant. The perfect spot to be on a sunny day sipping a cocktail or having a snack. The same can be said now in the winter with their igloo dining and their Lil’ Trucker. This is a truly unique experience as an old van has been completely transformed inside to comfortably seat up to 6 people. You’ll definitely want to check out this place at some point!
One Twenty Three Tavern
This restaurant took outdoor dining to the next level with its prime location in Studio Park. Outdoor dining is cute during summer nights with lights strung across the alleyway lighting your dinner table. After the pandemic hit, this concept completely changed and igloos and indoor heated structures were placed on the grass at Studio Park for customers. Dinner and a movie, anyone? You can eat, drink, and watch a movie on the big screen at One Twenty Three Tavern! This place is a must for date night, whether you choose to dine inside or outside.
Third Nature Brewing
As a newer brewery in the Grand Rapids regional area, they are not falling behind the others when it comes to outdoor dining. They stepped up to the plate when the pandemic hit and created a lovely outdoor Biergarten complete with igbrews. Enjoy craft beer and small bites to eat from your very own enclosed and sanitized igbrew. Visit in any other month and enjoy the outdoor fire pits, perfect for a chilly fall night.
The Friesan Gastro Pub
Whether it’s winter or summer, The Friesan has you covered for the best outdoor dining! With two levels to their outdoor dining options, you can soak up the sun on their rooftop patio or stay warm on their lower covered patio in the winter months. With a menu that’s always being updated, this is the best place to enjoy quality drinks and bites to eat.
Margaux at JW Marriott
Satisfy your inner boujee self with a dining experience at Margaux. Their outdoor dining space and bar is beautifully set up allowing for wonderful views of Grand Rapids. Currently, they are offering outdoor domes that you can reserve to enjoy the best of France’s cuisine. In the summer months, their outdoor space is just as incredible with plush couches and firepits that you can enjoy with friends.
