Events and Festivals

Cadillac knows how ideal it is for tourists looking to enjoy their summer with a little fun and relaxation, and they have plenty of events to keep their visitors entertained. Multiple smaller concerts take place throughout the summer, but the Spring Concert promises multiple acts from multiple genres to pull in large crowds. The city is also home to two car shows over the summer, one being the largest in Northwest Michigan. Other popular events include the Cadillac Freedom Festival around the 4^th of July, Lumberman Triathlon, and nearby Mesick Mushroom Festival, which celebrates the tasty morel mushrooms that grow in the area.

What to Do

Though the city is relatively small by vacation destination standards, there is still plenty of fun to be had, the most pointed of which being on the lakes. Cadillac boasts not one, but two lakes that lie side by side: Lake Cadillac and Lake Mitchell. Both lakes are large enough for plenty of water sport and fishing fun and have sandy beaches to play on or catch a tan. Don’t own a boat? No problem! Multiple rental shops right on the water are there to help you out. Other fun options include a day at the Adventure Island amusement park, enjoying a musical performance Performing Arts Pavilion, catching a movie at Cadillac 5, or shopping at boutique stores downtown.
