Food Challenge: 10 lb monster burger | Time Limit: two hours

Mallie’s Sports Grill N Bar rose to fame when they created the largest commercially available burger. While this one is expensive, seriously, look at the price on the menu, the burger for the challenge is slightly smaller.

The challenge at Mallie’s is to eat their 10-pound monster burger in under two hours. The monster burger has all the toppings you’d expect, including lettuce, tomato, onion. If you do complete the challenge, not only is the burger free, but you also get $100. And if for some reason, the money isn’t incentive enough to give it a try, your picture goes up on the wall too.

Tios Mexican Café
Food Challenge: Mt. Nacheesmo | Time Limit: 45 minutes

Featured on Man vs. Food, Tios has a 5lb platter of nachos called Mt. Nacheesmo. The chips are piled high with beans, beef, chicken, pork, cheddar and Monterey jack cheese then garnished with onions, green pepper, black olives, tomatoes, sour cream, guacamole, and creamy queso. Once the challenge has started, the competitor is now allowed to leave the table. If they leave the table or do not eat all 5lbs in 45 minutes, they must pay $50. The $50 is the cost of Mt. Nacheesmo which is available on the menu at any time and usually recommended for 4 to 5 adults. Winners receive a t-shirt, the nachos, and are added to the Fame Wall in the restaurant.

Mid-Michigan

MEAT
Food Challenge: Ultimate Carnivore Food Challenge | Time Limit: 45 minutes

Think you love meat, then you need to visit MEAT for their Ultimate Carnivore Food Challenge. The challenge is to eat The Boss Logg, a regular menu item, which consists of the following between two buns:

  • Pork
  • Brisket
  • 2 Burger Patties
  • Bacon
  • Fries
  • Bacon Gravy
  • Cheese: Cheddar, American & Pepper Jack
  • Hot Garlic Sauce
  • Jalapenos
  • Sunny Side Egg

Along with the sandwich (if you can call it that) you have to eat a side from the menu, a few options are: sweet & tangy slaw, BBQ pit beans or warm fruit cobbler, as well as made to order mac n cheese with 2 ingredients. Complete the Ultimate Carnivore Food challenge to get the meal for free, a t-shirt, your picture on the wall, and best of all, a beer.

The Parlour
Food Challenge: Dare to Be Great Challenge | Time Limit: one hour

If you have a sweet tooth, the Dare to Be Great Challenge is for you. The Parlour in Jackson allows you to pick 21 scoops of ice cream from the assortment of their 35 plus flavors. They top the ice cream with strawberries, chocolate sauce, pineapple and marshmallow toppings, nuts, whipped cream and cherries on top. Finish all of the ice cream in under an hour and it’s free, otherwise, the challenge will cost you $49.99. If you’re feeling ambitious, you can add extra toppings and extra nuts for an additional $1 each.

The Parlour also has a Baby Dare to Be Great challenge that is 10 scoops of ice cream instead of 21. Cost of not finishing the challenge is $29.99.

Northern Michigan

Food Challenge: The Beast | Time Limit: One Hour

T-Dubs largest omelet, The Coronary, is crafted then wrapped inside a calzone. The omelet is stuffed full with the following ingredients before being covered with sausage gravy:

  • Sausage
  • Ham
  • Corned Beef Hash
  • Bacon
  • Hashbrowns
  • A Slice of Toast

After the omelet is crafted and wrapped in a calzone, it is smothered with garlic butter and cooked. If you eat The Beast, your meal is free, otherwise, it will cost you $28.99 to attempt this challenge.

SandBar & Grill
Food Challenge: The Shipwreck Challenge | Time Limit: 30 Minutes

The Shipwreck Burger Challenge will cost you $29.99, but this burger isn’t a regular burger. With the beef patties, the burger has onion rings, lettuce, and tomato. Not only do you have to eat the 2.5 pound burger for this challenge, but you have to eat a pound of fries too. The challenge only lasts for 30 minutes. If the challenge is completed, the winner gets a t-shirt and their picture on the wall of fame. Additionally, they receive two tickets for the shipwreck tour.

Western Michigan

The Corner Bar
Food Challenge: hot dog Hall of fame challenge | Time Limit: four hours

Have a hot dog eating contest against the clock at The Corner Bar in Rockford. The restaurant, which is the Official Hot Dog Capital of Michigan, challenges you to eat 12 hot dogs with their famous chili sauce. The recipe for the chili sauce is top secret. You have the option of adding additional toppings to the hot dogs. Completing the challenge earns you a spot on the Hot Dog Hall of Fame wall and a t-shirt. The challenge costs $30, even if you complete the challenge.

The Wooden Shoe
Food Challenge: Southern Slam Challenge | Time Limit: 45 Minutes

Even a breakfast lover would struggle with this challenge. The Southern Slam Challenge is eating a twelve egg omelet. The omelet is filled with cheese, onion, hash browns, and sausage then is covered with sausage gravy and more cheese. The challenge also requires you to select a side to eat. The challenge has to be completed in 45 minutes to get your meal free, your name on the wall and a free t-shirt.
