Sports Fan: Detroit Sporting Event
If you have a big sports fan on your list, consider getting them tickets to a sporting event! You can pair it with a gift card to a local restaurant or brewery to make more of a day out of your gift.
If you have a young sports fan, tickets to the minor league teams might be a great idea too. They will cost less so if the little girl or guy can’t sit still for the whole game you won’t be out much money…unless you take them to the concessions stand that is!

For the car lover on your list, we recommend a gift card to the Gilmore Car Museum. It is a great place to learn the history of the car industry in Michigan and you get to see some pretty neat vintage and classic cars! If you’re going with a non-car lover, don’t worry, the 90-acre grounds at the Gilmore Car Museum are a sight to see too!
Craft Beer Lovers: Beer Tour
If you have someone who loves craft beer or someone who is interested in the process of making beer, we highly recommend going on a beer tour. Kiddos: Michigan Zoos
Michigan has a lot of great zoos. Some of the zoos do Christmas light events which can be fun to go to with kids. The way their faces light up when they see all of the lights is a present for the adults too! If you prefer to visit the zoos when it is a little warmer, you can always wait and extend the Christmas season by going in the spring, summer or fall or stay warm inside at a Michigan Aquarium instead. If you do want to go this time of year, make sure you check the zoo’s website to ensure they are open; not all Michigan zoos are open year-round.
Wannabe Chef: Cooking Class
If someone on your list is interested in cooking, try a cooking class. There are a variety of cooking classes so the person on your list can pick one they are most interested in, such as a baking class, or a pasta-making class. A few places to consider a gift card from:
