Similar to numerous individuals who faced job loss during the initial COVID outbreak, Neiko Guillory, the owner of Neiko’s Fencing & Landscaping, also found himself unemployed when Michigan enforced shutdowns. In a tight spot, Neiko had to seek alternative employment and took the initiative to establish his own business. Thus, Neiko’s Lawncare & Landscaping came into existence. He rekindled his experience from High School, where he used to mow lawns and assist with landscaping projects for his father in Louisiana. It was during this time that Neiko’s interest in fence building ignited, sparked by a client’s request for a fence construction project. Despite the initial fence turning out subpar, Neiko shifted his focus away from lawn care and landscaping to fully concentrate on the realm of fences, decks, and pergolas.
