Labor Day weekend marks the unofficial end of summer. Which means its time to start thinking about all the fun shenanigans the fall season brings. From cider mills, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted houses, you’ll never find a shortage of fall activities in Southeast Michigan. So pull out your coziest sweaters and grab a pumpkin spice latte and make sure you visit at least one of these fall attractions in Southeast Michigan this season.
Yates Cider Mill
Located in Rochester, Michigan is the family-owned, Yates Cider Mill. It has been around since 1863 and is a Michigan landmark and registered historic site. It offers a variety of activities and things to see for people of all ages. You can book one of their group tours where you can see some of the behind-the-scenes operations, watch cider being pressed and made, and end with a delicious jug of cider and donuts to enjoy. The cider mill also features a beautiful walking trail, and if you visit during the peak color season it is even more beautiful to walk through. In addition, there is a fudge and ice cream shop, apple tent, pony rides and petting zoo all on-site! On the weekends in September and October, you can also enjoy more goodies such as knackwurst, hot dogs and cinnamon almonds.
CornFun Corn Maze Adventure and Pumpkin Patch
As if their name alone doesn’t scream fun! Located in Casco, Michigan CornFun Corn Maze Adventure and Pumpkin Patch offers family fun activities for everyone. They feature two challenging corn mazes with 4 miles of trails. You can meander through the trail during the day or at night with a flashlight! Each year the corn theme is different with ones in past including a Detroit Tigers theme, pirate theme, MSU vs UofM theme and more. Hayrides, a pumpkin patch, sunflower fields, a petting zoo and fresh cider and donuts are all also on-site.
Blake Farms
Blake Farms offers nearly every fall activity you can think of. Whether you are searching for a scary haunted house, apple picking, and even hard cider tastings – it is a one-stop destination! Blake Farms has a few locations which are: Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill, Blake’s Big Apple and Blake’s Garden Center. The two main locations for fall activities are Blake’s Cider Mill and Blake’s Big Apple which are only about a 5-mile drive from one another. The best thing about Blake Farms is that there is no price admission to visit any of the locations! Whatever it is you are looking for this fall, it is very likely that Blake Farms has the activity you need to cross off your fall bucket list!
Diehl’s Orchard and Cider Mill
For over 60 years, Diehl’s Orchard and Cider Mill has been providing Southeast Michigan with fall fun!
